what each level unlocksHow trades work
A traded Pokémon keeps its level and gets new IVs. Each IV rerolls somewhere between the friendship floor and 15: at least 1 for Good Friends, 2 for Great, 3 for Ultra and 5 for Best Friends. A lucky trade raises the floor to 12/12/12, gives a 1 in 64 chance of a perfect Pokémon, and makes it lucky for good, which halves its Stardust cost on every power-up.
Stardust depends on what you send. A Pokémon the other trainer already has costs a flat 100. Anything new to their Pokédex costs 20,000 before the friendship discount, and so does a shiny or legendary they already have; a shiny or legendary they don't have costs 1,000,000. Great Friends get 20% off, Ultra Friends 92% and Best Friends 96%, so most special trades only make sense between Best Friends. Special trades are also limited to one a day.
The traded CP tells you the rough IVs. Because the level doesn't change, the CP after the trade sits between the two numbers above, and one close to the top is close to 15/15/15.
