PokeTools ("we", "us", "our") is a free, browser-based Pokemon toolkit at www.poketools.com. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID: G-4CQC7NFKFP) to understand how visitors use PokeTools. Google Analytics collects:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Approximate geographic location (country/city level, not precise)
• Device type, browser, and operating system
• Referral source (how you found PokeTools)
• Anonymized IP address

Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by disabling cookies in your browser settings.

Local Storage

Some tools save your preferences and progress (e.g., Nuzlocke Tracker encounters, Living Dex progress, Shiny Tracker counts) to your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device — it is not sent to our servers or any third party. Clearing your browser data will remove it.

No Account System

PokeTools does not have user accounts, login systems, or registration. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information through the site itself.

Cookies

The only cookies PokeTools sets are those required by Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*, used to distinguish users and throttle request rate). These are first-party cookies with a default expiration of 2 years. No advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party marketing cookies are used.

Third-Party Services

• Google Analytics 4 — web analytics (see above)
• Cloudflare — CDN and DDoS protection. Cloudflare may set security cookies (__cf_bm) and processes requests to deliver content faster. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized — we cannot identify individual users from it.

Children's Privacy

PokeTools does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we don't collect personal information from any user, this applies universally.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Opt out of Google Analytics tracking (browser add-on or cookie settings)
• Clear all localStorage data saved by PokeTools (browser settings → clear site data)
• Request information about what data we hold (contact us below)

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of PokeTools after changes constitutes acceptance.
