Pokemon GO IV Calculator

Enter CP, HP, and appraisal to find every IV and level combination your Pokemon can have.

Pokemon
Appraisal (optional)

0★ = 0-22, 1★ = 23-29, 2★ = 30-36, 3★ = 37-44, 4★ = 45 total IVs.

Mark the stat(s) the appraisal highlights as best, and optionally the bar tier of that stat.

Powered-up Pokemon land on half levels, so several level and IV combinations can share the same CP and HP. Wild catches sit on whole levels capped by trainer level (up to 30, or 35 with weather boost), and no Pokemon can pass level 50 (51 with the best buddy boost).

How the Pokemon GO IV calculator works

Every Pokemon in GO hides three IVs: Attack, Defense, and Stamina, each from 0 to 15. The game never shows them directly, but CP and HP are computed from them, so they can be recovered by working backward. This calculator tries all 4,096 IV combinations at every level with a known CP multiplier and keeps only the ones that reproduce your exact CP, HP, and appraisal result.

The CP formula is CP = floor((BaseAtk + AtkIV) × sqrt(BaseDef + DefIV) × sqrt(BaseSta + StaIV) × CPM² / 10) with a minimum of 10, and HP is floor((BaseSta + StaIV) × CPM), also at least 10. CPM is the CP multiplier tied to the Pokemon's level; it rises from 0.094 at level 1 to 0.8403 at level 50, with half-level values derived from the neighboring whole levels. Because half levels sit close together, one CP can map to several level and IV spreads, which is why entering HP and the in-game appraisal narrows the list so much.

Base stats and CP multipliers come straight from the live game master file, so new species, regional forms like Alolan and Galarian variants, and stat changes show up here with the correct numbers. The appraisal filters map exactly to the in-game star ratings: 0 to 4 stars cover IV totals of 0-22, 23-29, 30-36, 37-44, and a perfect 45, and the best-stat bars pin the highest stat to 15, 13-14, 8-12, or 0-7.
