Evolution Method Types
- Level-up - the most common method; some require reaching a specific level, others just gaining any experience
- Evolution stones - Fire Stone, Water Stone, Thunder Stone, and others applied directly from your bag
- Trade - triggered upon trading, sometimes requiring a held item like Metal Coat or King's Rock
- Friendship - evolves when happiness reaches 220+, often combined with time of day
- Location-based - must level up in a specific area, such as near a Moss Rock or Ice Rock
- Move-based - requires knowing a particular move or a move of a certain type
- Special conditions - gender restrictions, weather, party composition, or even console orientation
