About split evolutions in Pokémon
Split evolutions give you a permanent choice: once you evolve, there is no going back. Eevee leads with 8 possible evolutions, covering Water, Electric, Fire, Psychic, Dark, Grass, Ice, and Fairy types. Choosing the right branch depends on your team's needs, the stats you want, and which evolution method is available in your game.
Comparing branches side by side
This tool shows all 19 Pokémon with branching evolutions in one place. For each split, you get a stat comparison table highlighting which branch has the highest value in each category. Types, evolution methods, and base stat totals are displayed together so you can make an informed decision before committing.
Notable split evolution families
- Tyrogue: evolves into Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, or Hitmontop based on which stat is highest at level 20
- Ralts: Gardevoir (level 30) or Gallade (Dawn Stone, male only)
- Slowpoke: Slowbro (level 37) or Slowking (trade holding King's Rock)
- Wurmple: Silcoon or Cascoon, determined by a hidden personality value at level 7
