Comparing Pokemon Alternate Forms

A single species can play very differently depending on its form. Deoxys shifts between offensive, defensive, and speed-focused stat spreads. Charizard gains Dragon typing through Mega Evolution X but stays Fire/Flying with Mega Y. This tool lays those differences out in a side-by-side comparison table.

Types of Alternate Forms

  • Mega Evolutions: Temporary battle transformations introduced in Gen 6 that boost stats and sometimes change typing.
  • Regional Variants: Alolan, Galarian, Hisuian, and Paldean forms with completely different types and stat distributions adapted to their home region.
  • Gigantamax Forms: Gen 8 forms that change appearance and grant unique G-Max moves during Dynamax.
  • Unique Form Changes: Pokemon like Rotom (6 appliance forms), Shaymin (Land/Sky), and Lycanroc (Midday/Midnight/Dusk) with permanent or switchable forms.

The comparison table highlights stat differences from the base form, making it easy to spot which forms trade bulk for speed or shift from physical to special attack. Each form also shows its typing so you can evaluate defensive matchup changes at a glance.
