About the Fling Damage Ranker
Fling is a Dark-type physical move that hurls the user's held item at the target. The base power is entirely determined by the item, not the user's stats. That makes item choice everything.
Highest Fling Power Items
Iron Ball tops the chart at 130 base power, the maximum Fling damage any item can deal. Other heavy hitters include Hard Stone and Room Service in the 100+ range. Most berries sit at the bottom with just 10 base power, making them poor Fling choices but sometimes useful for their secondary effects.
Secondary Fling Effects
Some items apply bonus effects when flung. Flame Orb burns the target, Toxic Orb badly poisons it, and King's Rock causes flinching. These effects trigger in addition to the damage, giving Fling a niche competitive role as a one-time surprise play.
This ranker sorts all flingable items from the game's full item database of 2,175 items by power. Filter by minimum power tier or toggle holdable-only to focus on items your Pokemon can actually carry into battle.
