The Pokemon series has accumulated over 14,000 Pokedex entries across nine generations and 35 game versions. This tool indexes all of them and makes them searchable by keyword — something no in-game Pokedex has ever offered.
What You Can Find
- Dark entries: Search for "death", "destroy", or "soul" to find the surprisingly grim descriptions scattered throughout the games.
- Specific facts: Search "10,000 degrees" to find which Pokemon burns that hot, or "light-year" for cosmic-scale entries.
- Behavioral patterns: Search "eats", "sleeps", or "hunts" to discover what the Pokedex says about Pokemon ecology.
- Entry evolution: Browse a single Pokemon to see how its description changed from Red/Blue through Scarlet/Violet — some entries are rewritten entirely between generations.
Use the generation filter to narrow results to a specific era, or sort by relevance to surface entries that mention your search term most frequently.
