Infinite Fusion Calculator

Fuse any two Pokémon with the Infinite Fusion rules: exact stats, head and body typing, fusion names, and sprites for both orders.

How Infinite Fusion calculates stats

Every fusion has a head and a body, and the order matters. The head drives HP, Special Attack and Special Defense; the body drives Attack, Defense and Speed. Each fused stat is floor((2 x dominant + other) / 3), so the dominant side counts twice. Charizard head with Blastoise body gets HP of floor((2 x 78 + 79) / 3) = 78 and Attack of floor((2 x 83 + 84) / 3) = 83. Swap the order and the numbers shift, which is why this page always shows both fusions side by side.

How fusion typing works

The head passes its primary type and the body passes its secondary type. If the body has no secondary type, or its secondary would duplicate what the head already provided, the body passes its primary type instead. One documented exception: Normal/Flying Pokémon like Pidgeot pass Flying rather than Normal, since Flying is treated as their dominant type. The game data also hand-overrides a handful of other combinations, so a few in-game fusions differ from the basic rule.

Fusion names

Names combine the first part of the head's name with the last part of the body's name: Charizard head plus Blastoise body becomes Chartoise, and the reverse becomes Blastizard. This tool splits names on syllable boundaries the same way, though the game hand-sets a few of its names.

Which Pokémon can be fused

Pokémon Infinite Fusion covers all 251 Pokémon from Gen 1 and 2, plus an expansion set of later-generation Pokémon that the game numbers with its own custom dex. The default filter here sticks to #1-251, the range where national dex numbers line up with the game's numbering (and with the fusion sprite archive). Switch to any Pokémon to run theoretical fusions across all 1025 species with the same formulas.

Sprites

Over 100,000 fusion combinations have hand-drawn sprites, and the calculator shows one whenever it exists for your pair. If none exists yet, it falls back to the autogenerated sprite the game itself uses, and outside the #1-251 range it shows the two base Pokémon instead.
