About the region map explorer
The Pokémon world spans 10 regions, from Kanto's original 151 species to Paldea's open-world routes. This explorer organizes every route, cave, city, and dungeon into a browsable directory with encounter data layered on top.
Location-based encounter tables
Pick any location with an encounter count next to it to see which wild Pokémon appear there. Each entry shows the species, encounter method (grass, surf, fishing, headbutt, and the rest), encounter rate, and level range. Data is split by game version, so you can compare availability between Ruby and Sapphire, or Diamond and Pearl.
Supported regions
All 10 regions in the dataset are included: Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar, Hisui, and Paldea. The region row in the command bar switches the directory, the search field narrows it, and the sort tick reorders it by name or by how much encounter data a location carries.
If you need the reverse lookup (which locations a specific Pokémon appears in), use the Where to catch tool instead. This explorer is built for location-first browsing.
